We are heavily inspired by hermitcraft and their community as a whole. We have proximity chat and an installation guide for it. This gives us a much larger sense of community. Of course, proximity chat is optional and isn’t forced. We also have datapacks that enrich the vanilla experience. You can find out more about this info in our discord. Limbo is a fresh survival 1.18.2 Minecraft server, with a new world (as of 5/29/22). We feature a few neat commodities, like being able to join the server on Java or Bedrock, having chat forwarded to a Discord channel, and no plugin based shop/economy whatsoever (if you’d call this a feature).

This server keeps the no land claim, diamond economy of beloved SMP servers but adds some lovely additions to make the experience much better. (below are some key points)

Key Point
Rough Description

Spawners
Spawners cannot be mined once placed. The only way to retrieve them is to use a special tool that disappears after use. So be careful where you place

Enchants
Custom enchants can be won from keys. They are tools that are pre-applied with the enchant. They cannot be merged, a full list of enchants can be found below (soon)

Keys
Keys are won from vote keys, global challenges, randomly. Items can be traded in for keys, only if the Key Shop (at SD) is open)

Challenges
These are set by admins and are usually fun minigames such as First to bring me 10 dirt

Minigames
Minigames ran by admins (not player built) happen whenever they feel like running one. Rewards can be keys or items.

Airdrops
These are barrels that randomly spawn in the wild and approximately (within 100 blocks) coordinates are posted into chat.

This is supposed to be an old school Minecraft pvp server that EVERYONE can/should be able to work on.
Nowadays most servers are equipped with all sorts of plugins, games and different modes.
The overview and the friends at the game are simply inevitable
after a short time. We want to create a server that has the focus
relies entirely on its community again. Without our opinion
unnecessary bells and whistles that make the whole server unnecessary
makes it confusing.
It's hard to believe that there were still individual servers for each different mode. Nowadays you can find
everything on one server. You save time this way, but one
Community cannot be built like this.

Our server is supposed to be a kind of pvp server, like when Minecraft was still in its infancy :).
