CheesyCraft failed due to a lack of good staff, good advertising, Semi-P2P related content, and too many resets! Hello all! We are currently looking for mildly to extremely active players to join the Minecraft server known as the Something SMP! We have lore/roleplay on a modded server (mods of which include origins, image to map, enderite, claims, voice chat, and discord integrations, just to name a few).
However, it is NOT a requirement to be a part of the lore if you just want to play on the server!!
Just a heads up, though, there are a few people on the server who do stream, so if you're uncomfortable with appearing on livestream, that's something to note.

You can go into #applications to submit an application, and you can read more via the pinned message in #Something SMP info (It is required to join the discord server, as it has the custom modpack, server announcements and the rules of the server, this process also reduces the number of griefers and trolls).
If you have any questions about the server, or anything related to that, feel free to ask me or any other staff member. We are happy to answer any queries you may have! You can do so on the Discord server or in the comments.
Some other things to note include:
- This is a Java server with no plans for bedrock to be included at this stage.
- We have our end & nether reset every few months, so new players don’t have to spend as long hunting for nether & end items.
- The server owner is on GMT+8, so feedback regarding your application may be slow, depending on your time zone.
- Most staff members are also on GMT+8, so applications may be slow depending on when it’s submitted.
- This season's lore cut-off point has already passed, so you won't be able to join lore this season, but you can still join next season's lore.

😇 We have a few easy to follow rules, that could mostly be summed up by being a nice person.
🤝Rules:
-Be Nice
-No Harrassment or Bigotry (zero tolerance)
-Don't Cheat, no one likes a stinky cheater
-No Griefing/Stealing
-If you're planning a build next to another player's build please get consent firstly
-Please claim build that are important to you, it's the easiest way to protect your work
-Item Dupes are not allowed, but entity dupes like TNT will be allowed, just don't lag the server to death
-Chat will not be monitored as we are 18+, but hate speech and harassment are strictly forbidden. Religion and Politics are discouraged
-No Advertising without permission, if you have a stream or channel you wish to promote ask me and we can work out how you may do so
-If you find you are having an issue with another player, don't escalate the situation or you may find yourself in trouble too; please message me or other staff in that situation

Our server is a whitelisted SMP with a unique approach to promoting town-building and general community events. We try not to alter Minecraft's main gameplay loop, but we do have events that add flare and replayability to our server. We do not have a towny or claims plugin. We believe in a vanilla player-honored system that allows a more natural and organic feel to play.
Tight-Knit Community: Our server promotes the idea of forming bonds and friendships that will last long past the servers' lifetime. Every player should feel welcomed by our friendly community. We try our best to avoid drama and disruptive players. We invite you to not only join our server but also our family. If you need help, just ask! Someone will gladly offer you a hand.
All types of players are welcome: Whether you are a Builder, Redstoner, PvP/Explorer, or even a new player looking for their footing. Maybe you want to make map art, build a mini-game, or even create fun events for the community to bond over. Anyone and everyone is welcome to play.
The Vanilla Experience: As mentioned above no claims, no /tpa, no /warp. The exceptions are one player sleep, the ender dragon doesn't break blocks, fire spread is off, and you can see your horse's stats. We strive to create a server that doesn't change or break the fundamental joys of Vanilla Minecraft and we want to find like-minded individuals that want to help foster our community.
Honor and Trust: We trust our players and always give room for fairness. Everyone probably already has enough problems going on in their lives, so let's relax, sit back, and just play Minecraft together. Our server boasts long seasons, ensuring stability and continuity for your projects. The first season of Townscraft lasted an impressive 20 months, and the second season extended to 30 months which ended 3 days ago because the 3rd season will launch today!
Community Events: We occasionally have community-hosted events run by staff or by anyone willing where anyone can participate and have fun such as hide-and-seek, boat racing and gift exchanges.
