The Last Shard is a server based loosely off of Ultima Online, with no need to install any client-side mods. Here’s a brief summary of what it’s all about:
• An in-depth custom skills system, that bolsters your abilities with combat, gathering, magic, etc.
• A spherical plot system, to protect your stuff, and claim part of the world as your own
• A gold-based economy
• A huge map featuring several towns with different personalities, portals to other worlds, and secrets to discover
• An alignment/karma system, which sets apart murderers from lawful citizens, and provides some protections for the lawful ones
• As the above would suggest: Open PVP; You can pick a fight with pretty much anyone, pretty much anywhere, but there are some areas where lawful players have an advantage

The foundation of the project was back in 2020, when our still inexperienced developers were trying to do something that would attract people’s activity on the server and a scheme was invented to create a vanilla project with an anarchic theme.
