Allium SMP Season 8 – Semi vanilla with performance, community and redstone farms in mind.

After 5 years of Allium SMP and on our 8th season we are looking for more players to join our community and make the server even more lively. Our players are extremely proud of the community we have created. We welcome all sorts of players, meaning that things like TNT duping, worldeaters and mods like tweakaroo and minihud are permitted.

We frequently hold in-game events, host a Mayoral vote every two months, and even have a dedicated fully vanilla player built shopping area. We use a small number of useful Discord bots and very few plugins and data packs. Our goal is to enhance the vanilla experience while staying mostly unchanged. While there are no claims, we have rollback software to deter and undo griefing. We have some amazing builders and are looking for more to bring the server to life, including a massive railroad that we are in the process of building!

We are a multicultural, fun, friendly community that welcomes all sorts of people. Every single player is safe and welcome on Allium, and our staff will make sure of that.

ABOUT US

The Club SMP is an 18+ vanilla Minecraft server started in early 2022 with the goal of uniting a community of friends using Minecraft as a medium. We believe that true fun in Minecraft comes with the interactions and friends you make while playing. Whether you are a beginner or a long-time veteran of the game, we welcome you with open arms to our family!

We pride ourselves in our community and strive to keep players engaged with active events and projects. All major decisions are made based on the community's input and players are never out of the picture. In addition, our economy is driven by player-ran shops that allow anyone to 'get rich' dealing business. Here at the Club SMP, every player is a crucial component of an ever-growing and interactive community.

HARDWARE & SETUP

Alongside our amazing community, we also boast a fully self-hosted dedicated machine for the server, running modern blazing-fast hardware topped off with carefully tweaked server-sided optimization mods. This ensures minimal impact of lag while maintaining vanilla parity and allows our players to focus on what matters the most: gameplay. Furthermore, this setup allows us to have room for expansion, with a future plan of providing an accessible test/creative server for the community to plan their projects.

MODS & TWEAKS

We run a variety of server-sided optimization and QoL mods to enhance the player experience. We also provide our players with a custom (optional) client modpack, tailored for performance and useful features, which can be seen here. Players playing on the vanilla client will still be able to connect to the server, as all mods used are strictly client-sided or server-sided!

Whitelist only updates the first and third weekend of the month, meaning that you’ll join together with everyone who’s been waiting. Until then, you have time to get to know the community through discord and gamenights!
📝 Thorough Applications: This is a key part of making sure the server stays inclusive, fun, and that everyone matches well with each other. Hello all! We are currently looking for mildly to extremely active players to join the Minecraft server known as the Something SMP! We have lore/roleplay on a modded server (mods of which include origins, image to map, enderite, claims, voice chat, and discord integrations, just to name a few).

However, it is NOT a requirement to be apart of the lore if you just want to play on the server!! Just a heads up though, there are a few people on the server who do stream, so if you're uncomfortable with appearing on livestream that's something to note.

If any of you are interested, you can join the discord server here. You can go into #applications to submit an application, and you can read more via the pinned message in #Something SMP info (It is required to join the discord server, as it has the custom modpack, server announcements and the rules of the server, this process also reduces the number of griefers and trolls).

If you have any questions about the server, or anything related to that, feel free to ask me or any other staff member. We are happy to answer any queries you may have! You can do so on the discord server or here in the comments. Some other things to note include:

This is a java server, with no plans for bedrock to be included at this stage.
We have our end & nether reset every few months, so new players don’t have to spend as long hunting for nether & end items.
The server owner is on GMT+8, so feedback regarding your application may be slow depending on your timezone.
Most staff members are also on GMT+8, so applications may be slow depending on when it’s submitted.
This season's lore cut-off point has already passed, so you won't be able to join lore this season, but you can still join next season's lore.

You should be given a golden shovel which is used for land claiming and a book that tells you everything. You can also type /claim and to allow another player to build in your land type /trust
Each player starts with 200 claim blocks and you gain another 100 each hour you play on the server. All claims expire after 120 days.

With EssentialsX, all your favourite commands, such as /tpa and /home are available for you to enjoy. In addition, you can use GriefPrevention to protect your builds from enemies.

There are a small number of kits available to help you start, you should try /kit tools, and /kit claimtools, once you start.

PVP is disabled within the overworld due to issues with people attacking new players, however you are free to duel in both the nether and the end.

KeepInventory is on, to help maintain the ultra-casual aesthetic of the server.
