The idea for MC Cubed started from the owner and a friend of his growing tired of the way that typical Minecraft servers are operated. In a normal setup, the owner of the server is essentially a dictator. Since it’s his server, anything he says goes, and his word is law. This seemed strange to us, because historically, dictatorships are short-lived, and always result in the general unhappiness of the populace. Having played on many different Minecraft servers and having seen that almost all of them are run this way, we wanted to create the first true democracy on a Minecraft server.
Since the community is what makes or breaks a server, we felt it only made sense to manage it with that in mind. Here on MC Cubed, our members have a say in what happens. Our ranked members have the ability to vote on major (and sometimes even minor) changes that will be made to the server, meaning that MC Cubed is the product of the collective community consensus.
In this voting system, the Ranked player base has the same amount of say in a given decision as the owner of the server. We intentionally designed it this way so that MC Cubed can never become the dictatorship that exists across virtually every other Minecraft server. Another sad fact that this protects against is absentee staff / owners. Unlike other servers, MC Cubed will always have an active staff member with the ability to make changes to the server itself, whether that means installing / uninstalling plugins, restarting the server, or other changes normally reserved for the owner. We know that there are going to be times when the owner doesn’t have time to access the server, and because of this we wanted to ensure that the Community still got the experience they want. MC Cubed won’t grow stagnant due to an inactive staff. We’re designed with continuity in mind.
In short, MC Cubed is one of the only, if not the only, server where your opinion actually matters. If you have an idea on how we can make our server better, we encourage you to submit it via our forums, where it will be reviewed and taken to a vote. If the vote passes, your idea will become reality. Through this same system, if there is an existing aspect of the server that you’d like changed, you can submit a change request, and if it passes, the server will be changed accordingly. As stated above, MC Cubed is truly the product of Community consensus.

In GospelCraft, my goal is to implement the entire Bible as content onto the server. Plugins are like mods, but for the server. The server design has players in mind, with all mod-like changes being made server-side, so your computer doesn’t suffer! Yes, mods are awesome! Who doesn’t like mods, but many computers just can’t handle the impact they have on their resources. Our server doesn’t lack power, and therefore, we take on the brutal demand for resources by running only plugins. Plugins will not require your computer to download anything extra, and you can log right in using your standard un-modded minecraft client. Enjoy the modded lyfe, without the lag at GospelCraft. 😉
With jobs like explorer, you even get paid for exploring the map of Earth! That’s right! We have an actual map of the planet for you to live on. New Beginnings Minecraft started out 4 years ago with a small group of friends and has grown into a community with over 3,000 registered accounts. That being said our player base is not nearly that large, we usually top out at 25 people online at once and 10 people is an average night. We are a very small tight knit community focused group.
First off, we are using a custom map with gorgeous biomes and very unique scenery. Despite it being custom, you can still mine for all resources at virtually all Y levels and the underground system is even larger than your typical survival map. Oceans sit lower to make for much larger mountain-scapes.
Historically we reset the map every time a major patch came out, but with such a large map we have decided it won’t reset to encourage large scale projects.
We use a variety of premium plugins, which are entirely self-funded through generous donations to keep the server running. Everything invested into the server returns to the server in content release/maintenance and premium plugin installations. (Some of which are our Shop plugin, McMMO, an inventory management plugin, etc.)
We have recently uploaded a new map which is not custom and is primarily for resource gathering/exploration. This map has no livemap to promote a sense of wonder, and is also used for PvP among the player-base.
We also offer a monthly building competition where we allow the players to claim plots and build a build in teams or solo in a designated theme. These get judged on a variety of factors and we give those winners prizes from in-game prizes to real life gift cards.
Rules: We have a lot of trust in our players, and have CoreProtect to track and ban griefers. Here are our basic rules:

Grief, steal and hack.
PvP unless both parties agree to PvP.
Build in unauthorized areas, or buildings that do not comply to town rules.

That’s why SUPER☺︎FUNLAND will never reset the overworld. So many of us run into the periodic Minecraft phase, but can’t commit to a long-term world. We want to be that world for your Minecraft creativity.
When you come on our server, you’re getting back to the blocky basics. As a building-focused community, we want to mitigate some of the grind-ier aspects of the game, so we’ve changed the recipes to give you more blocks for your bang, making it easier to get into that flow of making awesome builds to show off to the community.
Additionally, this server has daily nether and end resets (~3 a.m. Eastern Time). Let’s be honest, Nether highways suck. They make travel faster, sure, but they make overworld transportation a thing of the past.
Remember playing Minecraft for the first time, and building paths to and from your friends’ builds? We do too, and think something special was lost when Nether transportation became the norm.

Skills – You can level up fourteen unique skills to increase your stats (such as health, defense, and attack damage). Reaching the highest levels in each skill unlock unique abilities to make you even more powerful!
Jobs – We offer thirteen jobs that pay you for anything from mining, to building, to fishing, and everything in between. Jobs are the most important way to build your wealth on the server.
Player Economy – Our economy is entirely player driven! Shops on the server set prices for goods and services without any intervention, this leads to a very organic economy where you can carve out your own niche. The only admin shops on the server can be found in our mall /warp mall. These shops sell custom furniture blocks like tables and chairs to decorate your base!
Custom Enchantments – Our server features over 200 unique enchantments to build your playstyle the way you want! All enchants are achieved through normal gameplay mechanics.
Craftable Gear – You can craft tons of unique custom armor sets, tools, and talismans to become more powerful or add unique abilities.
Custom Resources – We have resource worlds which reset on the first of each month! Here you can find custom ores and plants which can be used for decoration or can be used to craft some our custom gear!
Custom Fishing – We just released our very own custom fishing system with 170 custom fish to catch! As you catch new fish species you'll unlock them in your "fishdex" which provides information about the fish to share with others in the community who haven't yet caught that species. Welcome to Season 5 of the LanderYT SMP! Our SMP offer you a chance to play survival without the hassle of being bothered by other players. Property damage of any kind is not allowed and PvP can only occur via mutual agreement.
We have been open for 10 months and are resetting for 1.21 in late July, or when the infrastructure for 1.21 is stable. I know this is a strange time to recruit, but I promise that getting to know us beforehand will make life so much easier for you.
