Spacebug SMP is a survival multiplayer server where you can enjoy a ‘close-to-vanilla’ experience while being able to protect your creations, play mini-games, participate in the server economy, collaborate with others, and more!
When you first log-on you will spawn in the overword with some basic starter gear and temporary newbie protection from PVP. From the main spawn area you can access the random teleport to somewhere in the overworld, use warps to get to towns, and buy items from the server.
We’ve also opened a SkyBlock world to play on. While our primary focus is still Survival, if you get bored with that you can now easily switch to a SkyBlock server to keep your minecraft play exciting!
We have an active group of dedicated players from a wide-rage of different ages and nations. We pride ourselves on maintaining a family-friendly environment and do expect that new players enrich this aspect of our online community. Factions is somewhat similar to survival. In factions, players are set out on a generated world with a landscape similar to vanilla. However, in factions you can kill other players and steal their loot. You can start your own faction and recruit more members or friends. In Minecraft, factions, there are medium-sized groups of players who are a team and work together to become the best. In every faction, with the required mininum, you can protect your own country. But factions is not only Survival with PvP, it is also war. Other factions can easily find your faction, and if they are reasonably stronger, they can get you out of the way. You can grow economically with the help of spawners to farm and sell stuff in the shop, or by dominating PvP arenas and grabbing lots of loot here.

Are you a survivor, who likes the thrill of facing dangers, in the form of other players, monsters or natural perils?

Are you a manager, who enjoys taking care of a town, city or empire, creating them from small camps until their land covers a significant chunk of the entire map?
Or maybe you are just a traveler, who enjoys visiting rich, detailed places, natural landscapes or beautiful towns?
You are welcome! Our server is an experimental project to develop an almost self-sustaining environment for players of all kind to play in a medieval/fantasy setting. We try to make minecraft feel less static thanks to our custom plugins. Indeed, we’ve changed how gravity behaves, we’ve developped a more realistic water simulation (with puddles forming when there is rain, and draining through dirt and other materials, to reappear somewhere else), a more natural plant growth system, an entire climate simulation (which you can watch evolve on our dynmap, and has actual effects on the map, like seasons), and many more, to make you feel that you are a part of a dynamic world.
We’ve also developped plugins that blur the difference between creative and survival. Indeed, even in survival, you are able to copy and paste builds… as long as you have a warehouse containing the materials for that copy! This also makes you able to create builds in our creative sandbox, before moving them into the survival overworld in a completely legit way.
We’re finally moving slowly away from Towny to a custom plugin called Civilizations, which attempts to bring more freedom to the look and feel of cities, but also to bring more features than just plot management, like creating temporary camps, individual houses away from towns, renting and purchasing various plots, including fields, creating custom groups, like guilds or others (why wouldn’t you make your own assassins or merchants guild?) and so much more.
We try to find the good balance between making a complex world and a fun gameplay. Come help us achieve this!

This server is a continuation of ‘Ilu Ambar – Quenta Arda’, which started in January 2019 and was discontinued in August 2023, but with a reset world and various server and player builds from the old server.

This Server is an enhanced Vanilla Experience. We are just starting off.

Current World Border Sits at 1500 block radius. We will Complete events and builds to increase the border by 500 each time. We will have a board at spawn for things to complete for each milestone. Feel free to share ideas. We are a community.
