As a Slimefun heavy server, we've got plenty of shiny new addons and classic addons to keep you busy but MCTantrum has a wide variety of things to do for every type of Minecraft player. There’s tons of custom items and OP armor, weapons, and tools. If you like having some direction, we’ve got a massive ranking chain including a Prestiging system; if you want something to do on the side you can do quests to earn extra cash and tokens, do some art with Artmap, or do any of the dungeons we've made! Obtain collectables, make mega-builds, make a shop, make whatever your Minecraft heart desires. MCTantrum also features a couple of epic Slimefun plugins that were developed specifically for our server and were created by one of our players!
We've recently added a whole new world with custom terrain generation where there's actual danger. Keep inv is OFF in this world, the mobs are super tough and bosses spawn in generated structures as you explore outward. Made especially for people who like a bit of risk :slight_smile:
We have a well maintained stable environment and we have things to protect against griefing and cheaters. There are 2 owners that do the best they can at moderating, helping players, and making sure everything is running smoothly and as bug-free as possible each and every day. ZillaSMP is a Western European themed medieval roleplay SMP with kingdoms, naval warfare, tradable currency, and light RPG mechanics. It's almost like an entirely new game inside of Minecraft! (no mods are required to join)
ZillaSMP is set in a time between King Alfred the Great's death, and the formation of England; just as King Alfred's kingdom of Wessex took its last stand against the vikings. It's not intended to be 100% historically or geographically accurate, it’s meant to serve as a playable “alternate timeline” that is written through player actions and roleplay.
As with any roleplay server, there are many different roles you can choose or be selected for; knight, pirate, viking, lord, liege, etc. There are many kingdoms spread out in ZillaSMP’s 20k by 20k sized map; allowing chances for trade, war, conflict, and negotiations.

NEW!! Custom Fishing – We just released our very own custom fishing system with 170 custom fish to catch! As you catch new fish species you'll unlock them in your "fishdex" which provides information about the fish to share with others in the community who haven't yet caught that species. Can you collect them all?
Towny – We use the tried and true Towny plugin for land claiming and community building! You can create a solo town and build massive farms to become rich, create a huge city with tons of members to help you achieve your goals, or join a town with a couple of friends to create a cozy homestead.
Skills – You can level up fourteen unique skills to increase your stats (such as health, defense, and attack damage). Reaching the highest levels in each skill unlock unique abilities to make you even more powerful!
Jobs – We offer thirteen jobs that pay you for anything from mining, to building, to fishing, and everything in between. Jobs are the most important way to build your wealth on the server.
Player Economy – Our economy is entirely player driven! Shops on the server set prices for goods and services without any intervention, this leads to a very organic economy where you can carve out your own niche. The only admin shops on the server can be found in our mall /warp mall. These shops sell custom furniture blocks like tables and chairs to decorate your base!
Custom Enchantments – Our server features over 200 unique enchantments to build your playstyle the way you want! All enchants are achieved through normal gameplay mechanics.
Craftable Gear – You can craft tons of unique custom armor sets, tools, and talismans to become more powerful or add unique abilities.
Custom Resources – We have resource worlds which reset on the first of each month! Here you can find custom ores and plants which can be used for decoration or can be used to craft some our custom gear!
