Amongst the uncaring and raging waves, a portal to another sea descends toward a world that spans farther than any map of the Old and New World. Known to many as the Other World, Gründar’s crew were the first humans to make contact with this unknown land in thousands of years. Their adventure would only become known to the world after Gründar’s crew vanished and his journal came into the hands of the public. He described the ruins of ancient prosperous civilizations that had left behind a wicked and horrible land filled with unexplainable curses.
TOW is a serious roleplay set in a steampunk-ish dark fantasy world—centered on exploring and settling in an unknown, wicked land inspired by early colonial America. You may end up facing off against the industrious capitalistic settlements, the mutated alchemical constructs, and cursed humans left behind by ancient civilizations, all while contending with the maddening effects of the fog. Or you may aid in constructing new towns and researching the occult, helping to create a massive trade route with the old empires.
