The Storytime SMP is a Survival Multiplayer Server in which Players play a Character of their own creation. You could be anything from a Bartender, to a King/Queen, Or anything you can imagine. You could also create your own nations, have diplomacy with other nations, HAVE epic battles, anything like that! On this server, YOU tell a story of your own.
Along with your own story, We will be telling our own stories through events, Special Items, and stuff like that! Each season (each season lasting about 2 months depending on player counts), Will have its own unique story told through these events. The events will be like boss battles, and each player only gets ONE life, if they die, they can no longer participate in that event (however they can participate in other ones). The players will be put against a ton of Mobs, and Bosses, and when that is over, Players will be granted with an Item of POWER.
Items of Power grant the user special abilities, Like speed 2, strength 2, and so much more. However, Other players can steal these from you. You cannot keep them in a ender chest, or hide them, they must ALWAYS be on your inventory. If one is in your possession, Other players are allowed to hunt you, and try to steal it for themselves. Only one item of power is able to be used at once, HOWEVER, if a player contains all 4 items of power, they could trade them in for “The Crown” which will grant the user with a crown that gives them all of the powers at ONCE!
Now for events. PvP will be disabled during them, so if you just want to have fun and kill the mobs, and loot the arenas for scattered loot, go for it! There will be chests with items in it that could help you on your adventures, containing items that are unobtainable, like shulker boxes, and maybe even elytra's! Once an item is obtained by a player, they have 1 hour to run. After that, it's hunting season.
