You might be asking yourself this question. With thousands of minecraft servers with various mods, plugins, and features; What makes FunkyServers worth playing on? The community on NZnetwork’s minecraft servers is one which has been known to spend hours on a Friday night building together or just getting upto general mischief by building the most random structures you could imagine.

We aim to provide near 100% uptime, because an offline server just plain old sucks.

To limit the risk of griefing and trouble makers, we run rollback and logging software and only allow players who have built a creation to access creative mode freely on our creative servers. This system has proven itself very stable as people who have wanted to destroy others builds don’t hang around and any that do slip through can do limited damage in survival mode. We can always roll back any damage they do anyway!

Heisei Values “free speech”. we never ban for name or skin, and tolerate non “pc” jokes when they are warranted, but downright racism is not tollerated.

we perm ban cheaters with little room for appeal. we have advanced anti cheat (not a challenge), so please just dont cheat.

maximum of 2 alts online (per player) , and 3 in a faction (whole faction). also, no single player may own two factions. we will disband factions who break these rules repeatedly (more than once).

Sigh…Another community, another server, another description to read. Or is it?

Yes obviously this is another description to read, but hopefully nothing like the others out there. Hi, my name is x0Z3ro0x, and I don’t care about the normal way of things. For over 10 years our community has stood as sacred ground for our family and friends to come and enjoy the gifts of gaming without the negative side effects that the Internet communities bring. You see, whether you come from a background of wealth, poverty, or somewhere in between, you deserve two things.

1.) To be treated with respect and not like another player in a long list.

2.) To enjoy the game you came to play without interruptions, ads, marketing, bullying, power abuse, or the laundry list of things that most private servers come with.

Maybe we are just getting old and cranky, but gaming used to be about the entertainment. The love and laughter you shared with friends and family as you succeeded or failed together. Las Cucarachas is a callback to a simpler time. Inspired by the servers of the early 2010s, Las Cucarachas is a community where you can build freely without worrying about griefing or theft; work collaboratively on whatever projects you dream up and make new friends along the way; and enjoy the freedom to play how you want to play.

Our Discord Server isn’t littered with unnecessary bots and excessive channels and the community is generally pretty nice. The voice chat is reasonably active and the vibe is pretty chill.

Las Cucarachas values free speech, you will never be reprimanded for having an opinion, making a joke, or anything like that.

Our economy is 100% vanilla — the most common currency is diamond and all of the shops are player-made. We do have a designated shopping district, although you’re welcome to build your business wherever you’d like!

Land-claim and rollback plugins make vandalism virtually impossible. Our staff members are responsive and helpful — if you have any issues with griefing or theft, let a staff-member know and we’ll get it fixed promptly.

We like to keep things simple. There aren’t any roles, obnoxious prefixes and technicolor nicknames; you will never be solicited for donations, and there is absolutely no pay-to-win or buyable cosmetics or any of that malarkey.

Las Cucarachas is primarily composed of USA, CA, and EU players. The server is hosted in North America (Toronto), and peak hours are typically afternoon/night EST. The server is relatively small and the server hardware is robust so lag is minimal.

Las Cucarachas is still a relatively new server so you won’t have to work too hard to make new friends, find a place to collect resources and build, and make a name for yourself. Feel free to hop on and check us out!
