Explorers of Doran is an 18+ roleplay server built around a modified D&D style system for combat and exploration. The map is custom made, the lore is custom made, and the ruleset takes inspiration from 5e while being adapted by our staff for the way we want the world to play.
You can join as an Adventurer if you want stats, rolls, and a more guided progression, or as a Citizen if you prefer a more casual experience focused on pure roleplay without the stat side. It is a text based Java server with a medieval fantasy setting and a heavier focus on serious RP.
The Continent of Doran is set in 982 A.E., where the nations are still locked in resentment over years of territorial conflict and resource struggles. With sea monsters keeping most people from simply leaving, trade, survival, and the occasional fight all matter. The world is filled with mountains, deserts, plains, forests, and tundras, and each region has its own value in minerals, food, and what it takes to live there.
At the moment, the main civilized races that have surfaced are Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and Orcs. If you're into intricate lore, a medieval fantasy world, and a more grounded kind of roleplay, Doran is built for that.
