Are you looking for a completely vanilla server without random plugins ruining the experience? Expecting a lag free experience? Want to be part of an amazing mature community?

I am currently in the process of recruiting people for my season 2 of RetroCraft.The first season was hosted in 2019 and had around 390 unique successfull applications throughout the year.

Due to personal reasons could not start the server again till now.

Whats so special about RetroCraft?

Our server is beefed up just for the sake of providing our players a lag free experience without limiting the players on what farms they are allowed to do and what not!

RetroCraft is completely community driven. Unlike other servers , We don’t force our playerbase to comply to whatever an admin or me (owner) says. Community gets a say about everything that happens in the server, what the majority agree on goes!

Weekly events to keep the community engaged

Shopping district that is also player driven

Constant moderation to remove any griefer/cheater without any impact on the server whatsoever (no admins, just me doing the job. so don’t need to worry of anyone admin abusing)

Unlike other servers we are hoping to get this server running long term (for a year or 2 ) So you always have the ability to come back to your base and visit everything whenever you want!

Close knit & filtered playerbase, we strictly keep standards on who stays inside the server and who doesn’t so that you’ll never have to worry about someone ruining your day.

We allow support for bedrock players to join us aswell, since there are very talented bedrock players out there who can appreciate a good playerbase.

Season 2 is expected to start on 18/5/2022. So join now , you can be part of where it all started & get a headstart.

Aqua Clan: The aqua clan is a water-dwelling clan that can breathe and swim faster while underwater.*
Blaze Clan: As natural inhabitants to the nether, the blaze clan is immune to fire damage but takes damage in water.*
Cloud Clan: The cloud clan has always been a nomadic clan, so they can run quite a lot faster and jump really high as well.*

The error affects versions 1.7 and up.

It usually happens in Minecraft Realms, but it can happen in multiplayer servers as well.

When you join a server and play for a few seconds, you’ll be disconnected from it.

Here are 4 methods to fix the “internal exception java.net.socketexception connection reset” error in Minecraft:

Method 1: Use a free VPN

A plausible explanation for this is that it changes your IP address.

There are multiple free VPNs that you can use.

Secondly, select the “Free” plan, create an account, and download ProtonVPN.

If you’re still getting the error message, you can try the next method.

Method 2: Change your DNS servers

Here’s how to change your DNS servers:

Open the Control Panel.

Click on “Network and Internet”.

Select “View network status and tasks”.

Click on “Ethernet” next to “Connections”.

Click on “Properties”.

Select “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)”.

Select “Use the following DNS server addresses”.

Enter “8.8.8.8” as your preferred DNS server.

Enter “8.8.4.4” as your secondary DNS server.

Once you’re done, restart your PC and try joining the Minecraft server again.

This time, you shouldn’t get the “connection reset” error.

Otherwise, you can try the next method.

Method 3: Uninstall Hamachi

If you have Hamachi installed, you need to uninstall it.

A Reddit user found out that Hamachi was causing the Java error in Minecraft.

After they’ve uninstalled Hamachi, the error was fixed.

Here’s how to uninstall Hamachi:

Go to the Control Panel, search for Hamachi, and uninstall it.

Run the Command Prompt as an administrator.

Type “netsh interface tcp show global”.

Check if “Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level” is disabled. If it is disabled, type, “netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal” to enable it.

Lastly, type, “netsh interface tcp set global rss=enabled”.

If both “netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal and “netsh interface tcp set global rss=enabled” return with an “OK”, then you’re all set.

By doing this, your download speed will also be increased.

If this method does not fix the error, you can try the final one below.

Method 4: Reduce your render distance

The final method is to reduce your render distance in Minecraft.

You can also fix the lag in Minecraft by reducing other graphic settings.

Firstly, open Minecraft and join a single-player map.

Once you’re in Minecraft, click “Esc” on your keyboard, and click on “Options…”.

Select “Video Settings” to change your video settings.

Reduce your render distance to 8 chunks and below.

You can also set your “Graphics” to “Fast”, turn off “Smooth Lighting”, and reduce your simulation distance.

By doing this, Minecraft will be less laggy and the “internal exception java.net.socketexception connection reset” error will be fixed.

Conclusion
The Java Socket Exception error (connection lost) can happen even if your internet connection is fine.

Currently, Microsoft is aware of the error.

However, they haven’t provided a solution to it yet.

In addition, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution as each device is different.

Hence, the best way forward is to try each of the methods mentioned in this article to fix the error.

Keep in mind that using a free VPN might cause Minecraft to lag.

If you want faster internet speed, you need to subscribe to a paid plan.

If using a VPN fixes the “internal exception java.net.socketexception connection reset” error, then I highly recommend subscribing to a paid plan.

In the worst-case scenario, you need to use another device to play Minecraft.

6) No massive farms that can potentially lag the server.
Having a large amount of anything that lowers TPS (Mobs, items, etc.)

7) Do not ask for staff positions on the server.
We will decide when to ask the playerbase for staff applications when necessary.

8) No deliberately TP trapping players, or unfair PVP tactics in general.

A Brand New Server

We are a small community that has decided to move on from realms and try out an actual server. We use the geyser plugin on a java server so that anyone can join, regardless of platform. The server is brand new, meaning you can be one of the first to build an empire! We have a friendly community that enjoys both PvP and PvE, wars, raids, and creative builds.

Features

We currently have an economy, where money can be earned by killing mobs, and participating in our PvE arena. You can spend your money on the auctionhouse, as well as selling any items you wish there as well. Our PvE arena is in a separate world, and can be joined with a simple command, and is fully automated. We use discordsrv so that players can communicate to players in game through discord. We also have a proximity voice chat in the discord, and an easy to use reference guide for all player commands.

Rules

No hacking, exploits, abusing bugs, unfair texture packs, skins, etc. We allow any and all pvp and griefing outside of the lobby and arena world. Griefing, pvp, stealing, looting, are all encouraged, as long as it is done withing the scope of the rules.

▪︎ Hi there! My short name is Yani, I am 18M, I live in GMT+2 timezone and I would like to share you all an SMP that I'm hosting from past year (18 august 2023 more exactly).
▪︎ I am looking for active and friendly people and create a nice community together!
▪︎ I would like to specify that I have lots of stuff to do + exams coming in summer so I won't really be able to join daily, but as the owner, I will maintain, moderate, grow this community and do more of the technical stuff for the server.

I will list you all here all the benefits you will get by playing on this server.
– Active staff which means any attempt of griefing or unacceptable behaviour will be instantly punished
– Simple and peaceful vanilla experience with small adjustments to the gameplay (such as vanillatweaks datapacks to fix some of the multiplayer frustrations)
– We are using voicechat as an optional tool for even greater gameplay experience (it's not necessary to use it btw)
– Minimum age requirement is STRONGLY recommended to be 18 years old for more reasons such as: maturity, appropriate behaviour on the server and with other people
– The server is running on Fabric which means you will have access to the default vanilla mechanics from singleplayer
