Rules

We believe in a Libertarian approach to the ruleset. In the spirit of maximizing freedom there are no banned blocks. Our rules will target behaviors specifically. These are in place to ensure that everyone has a good time, not to ruin your day. This list is subject to change.
No racism, sexism, homophobia or otherwise. If politics comes up so be it but please be respectful.
No flaming, we are all adults here so cursing is allowed but if it becomes problematic this privilege may be lost.
Do not crash the plugins. Some plugins can only handle so much workload and the server reboots once a day without operator intervention.
Lag machines are not allowed under any circumstances, even for pranking your friend. What qualifies as a lag machine will be at the discretion of the moderation team but will be loosely defined as any structure with either no purpose other than increasing workload or a purpose that could be easily served in other ways that would create less workload.
No duping
No X-Ray mods or resource/texture packs and no modded clients containing software to provide unfair advantages. This includes but is not limited to ESP, KillAura and flight. Optifine is obviously allowed as is any minimap mod or really anything without a clear PvE advantage.
GriefPrevention is installed but if someone is building just outside of their claim don’t be a dick and break their stuff unless they went way out of bounds. Public utilities like bridges that aren’t claimed should be viewed as a nice token to the community not a quick 2 planks to make sticks for torches with.

Vibe Time is a smaller vanilla community server that has been operating for around four months on Java 1.21. We're looking for anyone who can dedicate some time to our server and hopefully be open to making some new friends.

The world we're currently on, although having been open for four months, is still relatively slower paced, with us just beating the ender dragon a few weeks back. As a group I'd say this server is focused more on the social and creative aspects of Minecraft than anything else. There are also no plans to reset this world in the future, we just want to have the ability to play Minecraft with our friends whenever we'd please.

Although there currently isn't a dedicated area yet, the economy is going to be diamond based and a shopping district will eventually be created close to spawn. Every now and again we do little events for rewards, but they've been slowing down since the school semester started. I also plan to incorporate some sort of system that is entirely vanilla that allows players to get beyond the maximum enchantments on their armor. For example, you would be able to get to sharpness 8 on a weapon or protection 7 on armor by doing a little grinding.

What is Arduous Journey?

It is everything you expect in a Modpack, then more.

Custom mods & datapacks, multiple bosses, actual good performance, difficulty increasing overtime but based on how far in-game you get instead of random, consistent visuals & structures and much more!

Its challenging but it isn't hardcore or insanely difficult to do basic survival, it is not like that but rather difficult in the sense of the unique mobs and mechanics.

(Warning: Not all content is in the server/modpack yet, this doesn't mean there is not any content, just that there's more to come. The current state is late alpha, soon to enter beta stage)

What about the server?

The server playerbase is not large and only started two weeks ago. We are looking for more players so we can have more fun.

PVP is allowed but nobody is focusing each other at the moment and instead people are focusing expanding their team and base right now. Even if they do start to pvp here are the rules I have set to keep things fair:

-You can steal from players and kill other players. (Keep inventory is off)

-You can grief players. (Unless they are offline, dont take the easy way out)

-You cant claim others people land or raid/steal from someone while they are offline

There are more rules but these are some of the important ones.

Furthermore the server isnt 24/7, I don't have any moderators to keep tabs on the server while im asleep so

Server Times: 12pm to 1am EST | 5pm to 6am BST | 9am to 10pm PDT | 6pm-7am CEST

ABOUT THE SERVER:

The Vortex SMP is a modded, factions-based SMP built to be played with other people. With over 150 mods, you're sure to never run out of things to do. We picked these mods by hand, trying to retain a fantasy/steampunk feel to the game. The base Minecraft version is set to 1.19.2, and we will not be changing it, We can, however, change what mods are in the pack. If you ask one of the admins, or the owner of the server, we're sure to honestly consider adding or removing some mods to the server, if your reasoning is valid.

ECONOMY:

Using the Lightman's Currency mod, we are able to create and use a coin-based currency of varying values to exchange for good and services from other players. Many players have full-time shops. Near the spawn area, you may find a small building. That small building is one of our player's shops, Cosmic. Cosmic can help you in all sorts of ways. He sells decent gear, if you have the funds necessary to purchase it, and he also sells carious items like food, potions, or artifacts. Cosmic can help you throughout your time here in the server, not just at the start. SO HOW DO I JOIN?

To join, please join our Discord Server (Linked at the top of this post) and fill out the application in #applications! Once you've done that, an admin will let you know how to join the server, download the modpack, etc.

Event:

In less than a month, we will be hosting a public arena tournament! All personal gear is allowed, including health boosts, totems on undying, and other various charms. Abilities from the Origins mod will be restricted, as to make the tournament more fair to all players. The arena we will be hosting the tournament in has already been built, so come check it out!

Don't get me wrong. I love helping people but when it's all I do in my realm it kinda ruins my experience. I am looking for people who don't need a lot of help for simple things. My realm is in hard mode with 1 singular add-on(reallight reimagined) for offhand torches for mining. I like building auto farms and heavy exploring. I'm talking end raiding, ancient cities, the nether. My world is a little over 500 days old in game so still very new. The Ender Dragon has been defeated 1 time. I encourage building whatever you want, wherever you want as long as it's not too close to someone else. I like playing with other people and exploring underground. Usually it's just me and 1 other person currently. I'd really love to expand my community. If you're interested please send your discord username!
