Ancar is the official server for LOTR Renewed Extended Mod, built around a full Middle-earth setup with 100+ biomes, road systems, waypoints, fast travel, and NPCs from different Middle-earth factions with conditional dialogue. It's made for players who want a proper LOTR world instead of just a normal survival map.
There's AncarFA with 20+ playable factions, plus customizable faction hierarchy and permissions, so teamwork and politics actually matter. You also get wars and battles over Middle-earth, with a province map to keep the bigger picture clear while you fight for control.
The server also adds a bunch of custom world details like vertical slabs, wood slabs, stairs, branches, multiblock gates, new animals, trees, flowers, and custom fallen leaves. On top of that, there's a drinks brewing system, claim protection for your home, dungeons, and questlines, plus a nicer night skybox, better rain, and even the northern lights of Forodwaith.
To join, you'll need the LOTR Extended Ancar modpack. If you run into trouble connecting, the staff ask you to hop into for help.
