Server Info
Inspired by Hermitcraft, Morven is a private vanilla SMP server with a nation/district system. Last week, we just started our second iteration of server. Morven 1 lasted for over a year, filled with great memories and builds, and came to a natural end. Now, a couple years later the same established community has gotten together once more to create Morven 2!
Our goal is to establish an active, long-term community, focused on creating artistic and creative builds. Every part of our server is community based and controlled, from elected admins, player organized events, suggestions and voting on server changes.

Morven 2 Nations
Here are the current starting nations in Morven 2. Each lead by a veteran player from Morven 1, every player starts off in one of these, but can create a new nation or switch nations later on. Here is a brief description of them, more info can be found once in the server.
- Arthur – Blend of Medieval and magic styles, particularly runic and alchemist themes.
- Hanami – Blend of Japanese and Asian style builds combined with nature and overgrown elements.
- Vvardenfell – Steampunk yet fusion with Dwarven and Nordic builds, for example : flying boats, ships, walls, technology, space pirates
Unique Features
– Events – Examples of past events; PvP tournament, court sessions, a wedding, elections and debate, various races, and an large & elaborate treasure hunt of clues and puzzles.
– Community Control – Our community is focused around the players, open to new ideas and the creative freedom to try new things. Almost everything about the server is handled democratically. Players get to vote on admins, server changes, etc,.
– Nations – All players will start in one of the nations, their distinctive part being the build theme. This is not meant to restrict your builds, but to group you with like minded players. Nations have features like their own spawn area, leaders, and separate means of communication. Nations can essentially operate as their own little SMPs, having freedom on things like build plans, hierarchy, or even government systems if they choose. Other than the build theme, players in a nation live relatively close to each other, work together/collaborate on projects, and are together in team based events. In Morven 1, we have 6 premade nations named after their respective build theme. This time, they still operate in the same way but a leader can choose a name for their nation, players can create new nations, and new players can even switch to other nations as well.
– Separation of Powers (S1) – This was a a feature in Season 1, but is not implemented as of yet in Morven 2 since we are new, but plan to incorporate. Every part of the server management has been divided among the owners and elected admins. All actions are discussed and watched over, as a checks and balances system. Also as I guarantee of fair play, owners with console access to the server stream all their gameplay on Twitch, where the VODs can be seen by anyone.
– Legal System (S1)– This was a a feature in Season 1, but is not implemented as of yet in Morven 2 since we are new, but plan to incorporate. All rules breaking (excluding crimes that give an instant ban), disputes among players, appeals, and any other grievances go to court. There will be opportunities to present a prosecution and a defense, and the Judge will decide guilt and punishment. All crimes will go on the players public and permanent record.
