Bleary-eyed, they wake – a world like a smeared painting coming into focus. A dim light in a red stone behind them beats with light – one that parts the sky above. On the cliffs below, there is littered rubble with moss and overgrowth — nature reclaiming its rightful place in the wilds past the old dynasty of man. No one has lived here for a long time….

Your memory is warped. Grey and formless in the moments you can make out. An unfamiliar taste. A sound you don’t recognize. Pain somewhere that you no longer feel. Those fleeting sensations depart—you can somewhat remember a name. An age. Passions. Skills. Wants, maybe. The clothes and trinkets on your person may hint to an answer you don’t yet possess the question for.
